Hope for the Underdogs is an initiative dedicated to providing access to a life-changing book for youth and young adults that are in detention centers or incarcerated. Our mission is to inspire, educate, and instill hope through literature, fostering personal growth and paving the way for positive change and reintegration into society.

Each year, nearly 40,000 young people find themselves detained or committed to placement at U.S. Juvenile Justice Facilities. Without proper intervention, these youth are at risk of remaining entangled in the justice system.
We believe in the transformative power of books. By providing life-changing books to youth in detention centers, correction centers, youth prisons, and schools, we can offer them a pathway to hope, inspiration, and a brighter future.
